Local Data Promise

Hocha.town should help visitors make good local decisions and help owners represent their listings accurately. This is how we handle data, corrections, and exposure.

Owner updates come first

When a local owner claims or updates a listing, that information takes priority over scraped or third-party data.

Stale details get reviewed

Change reports, missing photos, hours, phone numbers, websites, and low-traffic listings are surfaced in the CMS so they can be cleaned up.

Featured exposure stays fair

Featured businesses, cabins, stays, and events are rotated instead of always showing the same premium listings first.

No hidden ranking tricks

Premium tools improve presentation and available owner features, but they do not secretly rewrite the whole guide around whoever paid last.

What this covers

The promise applies to the guide surfaces visitors use most: search, category pages, listing cards, business and cabin profiles, events, the guide page, and trip planning. The goal is not to make every listing identical. The goal is to make useful information accurate, current, and understandable.

Business names, categories, descriptions, hours, websites, and phone numbers
Cabin and stay information, photos, booking links, and owner-managed details
Events from venues, organizers, local calendars, and manual review
Visitor-facing signals like open status, trip planning context, and local guide placement
