- In Paris, pick up US-271 north across the Red River into Oklahoma and on to Hugo.
- From Hugo, follow US-70 east past Fort Towson and Valliant toward Idabel.
- Near Idabel, turn north on US-259 (shared with US-70) to Broken Bow, then stay on US-259 about 10 miles north to Hochatown.
