How far is Hochatown from Broken Bow?
About 10 miles — 15–20 min north on US-259 when the road is clear. The two get used interchangeably, and many Hochatown cabins and businesses have a Broken Bow mailing address, but they're different places: Broken Bow is the town with the full-size grocery stores, and Hochatown is the cabin, restaurant and attraction strip along US-259 near Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow Lake.
That last stretch is where the traffic is. On busy weekend afternoons the few miles through Hochatown can take 20 to 30 minutes with turning traffic, and the stretch the model watches most closely is US-259 between SH-259A North and SH-259A South.
